Diego is doing a lot of barking in the woods these past few weeks because of bears. So last weekend he flushed out a juvenile bear and chased it for probably a mile and a half. So far we couldn’t hear his barking anymore. And then yesterday, Matt and I were walking in the woods with him and he took off and very loud crashing through the woods and then he came back and stood in front of us and barked up toward the bear. And so we tried to advance and he got in front of us again and barked up toward the bear, definitely not letting us go. And I realized the difference between this bear and the little bear was that this one didn’t take off running. This one stood his ground. So Diego was a little worried. And we look up in the hillside and this gigantic bear head pokes its little head out with its little ears and it’s just looking at us. We say, “Okay, we’ll turn around and go the other way.” So, thank you, Diego.
